Reviews and Comments

I had a nightmare of a time booking through bedandbreakfast.com. I started freaking out as this is a surprise trip for my boyfriend and I’s anniversary. I called the Tern Inn and was called back promptly by the owner, Dan. What amazing customer service! He held the exact room I wanted, and even gave me advice on how to make sure I was refunded properly through the previous nightmare booking. I am beyond thrilled to be giving my business to such a brilliant owner. I cannot wait to enjoy my time here, I can already tell why the reviews are so exceptional! I encourage all, if you have any issues with your booking through a third party site, don’t give up. Call the Tern Inn directly, they will take care of you! – Cassidy G – via Trip Advisor
By far the best bed & breakfast I’ve ever stayed at! My boyfriend and I were in the area for a wedding and long weekend — and felt like we were staying in someone’s home! We wished our visit could have lasted longer! The rooms are updated, tastefully appointed and cozy — and the beds are super comfortable (huge plus!) Dan’s breakfast skills are superb — his blueberry pancakes are memorable! Sue’s coffee is the perfect way to start the morning — it rivals any coffee shop I’ve visited! Both Sue and Dan went out of their way to make us feel at home — gave nice insights into the area and helpful suggestions on spots to visit! We’re looking forward to coming back! – AmyR4 – via Trip Advisor
“Wonderful B & B and owners !”
Sue and Dan are wonderful people and very helpful – great hospitality and also tourism advice. The breakfasts are great. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Our family vacation [including (3) cottages and a room in the Inn…was memorable and fun. The location is well situated to see all of Cape Cod, from Plymouth to Provincetown. “Wonderful Time” – We meant to write a review when we returned home from our Thanksgiving stay but as we were just talking about the week we booked for this summer we realized that we did not, so here it is. When the place we stayed in Chatham for the past few years closed, we looked for another inn in the area. Luckily we found the Tern Inn and Sue and Dan in West Harwich. – Ann D – via TripAdvisor

“A Great Stay” – The Tern Inn is a beautiful bed and breakfast. The innkeepers, Dan & Sue, are wonderful & welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. We have absolutely no complaints!! The property is well maintained and cared for. We ended up booking a week next summer!! –  jawnjuan – via TripAdvisor

“An Awesome Stay!” – This is a long overdue, but necessary review. We were guests at the Tern Inn mid-October 2015 for 2 nights while there for a wedding. Dan & Suzanne, the innkeepers and hosts, were awesome! The Inn is convenient and really felt like we were at the Cape, rather than a motel. While the accommodations were just fine and as expected from a quality B & B, the highlight was the conversation and the warmth and friendliness of Dan & Suzanne. Also, the homemade breakfasts were phenomenal. – cancunlee – via TripAdvisor

“You’ll Regret NOT Staying Here” – There are tons of reasons to stay at the Tern Inn. It’s in a residential neighborhood so there’s no busy street. It’s walking distance to Nantucket Sound beaches and easy driving distance to the bay, ocean and Pleasant Bay. It has its own pool and lots of grassy yard for kids to play. It’s close to Chatham and Dennisport. There are tons of things to do nearby. The rooms are clean, modern and airy. If you want the experience of staying in a hotel or motel, there are plenty of choices around the Cape. If you want the experience of staying in the home of the nicest people you have ever met, Tern Inn is the place. – Harry M – via TripAdvisor

“Great find, just off the beaten path” – We came down to the cape for a family gathering, and this place looked good so we got a room. What a pleasant surprise! Sue and Dan welcomed us like family, and couldn’t have done more to make us feel at home. This is the kind of place where everyone is in a good mood and friendly, reflecting the great attitude of the owners.

The bed alone was worth the price; we slept comfortably and woke up completely rested. The breakfast was wonderful, made even better by the beautiful and spacious dining room, and the cheerful company of other satisfied guests. Delicious French toast, oatmeal, fruit, apple cobbler, and lots more. Really fine coffee.

The room was spotless and comfortable and well appointed, the small bathroom was bright, clean and had lots of hot water. The carriage house had the feel of a family home we shared with the other guests. We left with nothing but respect for Dan and Sue, who work full time to ensure that every visitor has a pleasant stay. This was a great find for us, because we visit family on the Cape now and then, and have been looking for the right place to stay. This is it!- Mister JJ – via TripAdvisor

“Exceptional Accommodations” – Wonderful jewel on Cape Cod!! Dan & Sue opened up a room to accommodate my friends, that was shut down for the season. My friends absolutely enjoyed their stay. Dan & Sue made them feel right at home!! A warm, wonderful and very clean place to stay! Also, a big fan of your dads art work Sue, incredible. – DanBaker62 – via TripAdvisor
